Hydrilla has colonized nearly every portion of the pond, with very little bladderwort mixed in. Fishing activities are best scheduled in spring and early summer before hydrilla growth reaches the surface. Herbicide treatments are used depending on funding and severity of the coverage. Watermeal, a small version of duckweed, and filamentous algae periodically become abundant and float on the water surface depending on wind conditions.Several spatterdock beds in the lower end of the pond are located adjacent to deeper water and hold largemouth bass during the summer months.
