Im fairly new to CT. Stationed here thanks to the Navy. Im from a one light town called LaGrange. I've just recently started back fishing and realized just how much I've missed. Anyways I'm always looking for new hotspots to hit and new people to hang out with

Interests
Sneaking off and fishing whenever i get a chance. Hanging out with my buds from from the subase and hitting the bars
Favorite Fish to Catch
Spanish or king mackerel
Favorite Type of Fishing
trolling or spin rod
Water Type
Saltwater and Freshwater
Favorite Lures
Normally use live bait such as minnows or eels
Fishing Rods
Just bought a shimano rod/reel combo from the subase ScaBard is the rod
Fishing Reels
The reel that came with my combo is the AX 4000FB
Fishing Techniques
Bottom fishing for small baitfish with sandworms then cast the baitfish out and try to let them stay surfaced to attract larger preyfish such as blues and stripped
Favorite Fishing Spot
Thames river being as that I pretty much live 5 mins from the marina in Norwich. Also if you're ever on the subase try rock lake. There are tons of bluegill if you're down for wasting time

Lonely saturday

Planning on heading out tommorrow morning around 5. Maybe try thames river by the mohegan and work my way down stream

Just after work

I got off around 6pm from the subase and headed to the Thames river underneath the goldstar highway in hopes of maybe catching a few striped bass or bluefish but no luck. just a few porgies. I think thats how their spelt.
