Went to Houghton's Pond early Sat morning to my usual spot and it was clean. Returned yesterday afternoon and it was littered with beer cans, trash and a bunch of fishing string. There are trash containers everywhere or do as I do take your $hit back with you. Stuff like this is what gives us fishermen a bad rap at local ponds, etc.

Took a long weekend, hit Long Pond in Plymouth this morning and got 2 nice Rainbows using powerbait. Both bows are very good size. Wind wasn't to bad but an issue at times.

Went to my favorite pond for trout fishing yesterday and today. Caught five brown trout and six rainbow trout. I caught all of them by floating a nightcrawler off the bottom. I seem to catch bigger trout this way verses using powerbait. I caught my limit two days in a row at Houghtons.

Had a few hours to kill before work this morning so I went to Houghtons Pond to see if the trout would still be biting and I was not disappointed. I used nightcrawlers floating them off the bottom, powerbait did nothing for me today. I fished for an hour and caught four trout, 3 rainbows and one small brownie. I kept the two big rainbows and already ate one, very tasty. From the size of these two bows and the color of the meat they seem to be holdovers.

Went to Houghton's Pond for trout after the Celtics game yesterday and ended up catching a catfish. I was floating a nightcrawler off the bottom. I never expected to catch a catfish in there. Also, I saw some good sized large mouth bass in the shallows.

Went to Houghton's Pond after work last night and fished for about an hour and caught 3 nice Rainbow Trout, all 3 bows are holdovers for sure.

Went to Houghton's Pond before work this morning and caught my limit in an hour. Used powerbait, got two Brown Trout and one Rainbow Trout.

Went to old faithful (Houghton's Pond) last night to kill sometime before the Celtics game. Fished using powerbait for about an hour and didn't get a bite. I saw a guy leaving with a Rainbow and he told me the stocking truck was there earlier in the day and put in about 1,000 trout. I starting floating a nightcrawler off the bottom and within 20 minutes I landed two Brown Trout and a Yellow Perch. The trout action at Houghton's this season has been great....

In honor of my mother who taught me how to fish I decided to hit on of my favorite spots. Arrived at Houghton's Pond at 5pm, there were plenty of people swimming in the water so I figured the bites would be slow and I was right. I was fishing for trout using powerbait but not much action. I decided to float a nightcrawler off the bottom and within 10 minutes I landed the biggest Yellow Perch I ever caught. Shortly after that I caught a Rainbow Trout and called it a night.

Headed over to Houghton's Pond after work to do some more trout fishing. I arrived around 5:30pm and fished for a hour and a half. I was using powerbait and started getting hits right away. Before sunset I had my limit and was heading home.
