Comment: I'll be down there Friday evening, Sat evening, all day Sun and Monday. The fish are about 2 weeks into the spawn, should get some good bites this weekend.

The males are right on the bank with their nests, pretty much throw anything at them. The girls are a little bit trickier, there are a little bit deeper and tougher to see. Planning on getting locked in to some good 3's and 4's over the weekend.

As for the concert on Sat, I fish through that every year. Doesn't really affect me to much since I don't fish those pools closer to the hatch shell. But there are a lot people down there, and it is non stop people coming up to talk to you which gets really annoying. Holding a fishing pole is like holding a open mic.

Comment: I drove past the Esplanade this morning and you way want to rethink your schedule-going there this Saturday. There is a concert there all day-annual WBOS Earth Fest.

Comment: I fished the esplanade a couple of years ago not expecting anything got pleasantly surprised. The biggest small was bout 2.5 lbs I was shocked that smalls were this far to the hood . Usually it's Dedham or wells that gets mentioned. That following Friday I took the T back and caught 4 larges nothing big but it was a blast just catching fish in the city

Comment: Good luck, let me know how you do. Just yesterday, I posted a question asking if there were any good spots on the Charles near Boston. I live in Brookline.

Comment: I lived in the South End and Back Bay for many years and never once thought about walking over to the Charles to fish. I would always catch the E train or 39 bus out to Jamaica Pond. Dohhhh!
